Since May 4,1955, Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South has been committed to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. We empower children to lead independent lives as they work to attain their dreams through programs that teach financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship. The vast majority of our work is accomplished in classrooms across the Mid-South, in partnership with education networks. We have a geographic footprint of 25 counties (including Eastern Arkansas, West Tennessee, and Northern Mississippi), and are supported by active community volunteer partners, both corporate and individual. Junior Achievement’s model is designed to equip the children who participate in our programs with skills necessary to be world-ready. Our Capstone and Classroom programs are available for implementation year-round both during and after school.
